Minor Surgical Procedures

In-clinic procedures under local anaesthesia. From wound suturing to removal of lumps and bumps, we provide surgical care without hospital visits.

We perform a range of minor surgical procedures in our clinic under local anaesthesia. Services include suturing of lacerations, incision and drainage of abscesses, removal of skin tags and cysts, cryotherapy for warts, nail avulsion, and wound care. All procedures require a doctor’s consultation for case-by-case assessment to assess suitability to be performed in a clinic setting.

In-Clinic Surgical Services

Our doctors perform minor surgical procedures. Procedures may be conducted under local anaesthesia.

Wound Suturing (Stitches)

Treatment for Cuts and Lacerations

If you have a cut or laceration that requires closure, we provide wound suturing services if suitable.

Suture/Stitches Removal

Removal of Stitches After Wound Healing

We provide stitch removal services for post-surgical wounds. These would include more technically challenging stitch removal cases such as selected post cosmetic / aesthetic surgeries (e.g. rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty).

Please bring your memo/medical document from your primary surgeon regarding the surgery performed and any special instructions pertaining to the stitch removal.

Common Questions About Minor Surgery

Do I need an appointment for minor surgery?

Most procedures can be arranged to be completed on the same or next day from the initial consultation. Occasionally, we may arrange a separate appointment date for certain, more complex minor surgeries.

Most procedures take 30-60 minutes. As procedures do take up time significantly longer than usual consultations, we seek the understanding of our patients that they may have to be arranged to come in for their procedure at a timing that is less busy with other patients. This is also to allow the doctors to have sufficient time to perform the procedures.

We can remove certain benign (i.e. non cancerous) skin lesions. However, certain suspicious moles should be evaluated by a dermatologist. Our doctors would assess each case on a case-by-case basis to assess the suitability to perform the procedure in a clinic setting.

We do remove stitches following cosmetic / aesthetic surgeries. We do not perform any aesthetic or cosmetic medicine procedures otherwise as our clinic’s aim is to focus on routine minor surgical procedures which have higher barriers to entry within primary care/family medicine settings for patients.
